Oct 23, 2019: Tongling Xia attended the conference Healthy Buildings 2019 Asia and Pacific Rim (HB2019 Asia) in Changsha, China. She presented her work on the differentiation of indoor PM2.5 of indoor and outdoor origins using a combined statisitcal and approach.

Sep 26, 2019: Dr. Ye Bian re-joined our group as a Postdoc. He is supervised by Prof. Li Zhang and co-supervised by Prof. Chun Chen. Dr. Bian will continue to work on advanced novel air filter fabrication and characterization.

Jul 31, 2019: Haiqiang Zhang has finished his contract at CUHK as a Research Assistant. From August 01, 2019, He will re-join our group as a Part-Time Ph.D. student. Haiqiang obtained his B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees from Tsinghua University. Welcome!
Jul 29, 2019: Prof. Chun Chen visited the School of Civil Engineering at Dalian University of Technology and gave an invited talk on "Airborne particle dynamics in the built environment". The host is Prof. Yu Xue.
Jul 05, 2019: Qunxiu Ma joined our group as a visiting undergraduate student through the Summer Research Placement Programme for Mainland and Taiwan Students 2019. Qunxiu is current an undergraduate student at Peking University majoring in Energy and Environmental Engineering. Welcome!
Jul 03, 2019: Ye Bian passed his Ph.D. defense. His thesis title is "Electrospun nanofiber filters for effective air quality control". Ye is supervised by Prof. Li Zhang, and co-supervised by Prof. Chun Chen. So far, he has published 7 journal papers and he is the first author of 3 of them. Congratulations to Dr. Bian!
Jun 28, 2019: Ye Bian attended the 10th International Conference on Materials for Advanced Technologies (ICMAT 2019) from June 23–28 in Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. He gave an oral presentation in the conference.
Jun 26, 2019: Prof. Chun Chen attended the 2019 American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) Annual Conference from June 22–26 in Kansas City, MO, USA. He gave an oral presentation in the conference.

May 29, 2019: Prof. Chun Chen attended the 13th Federation of European Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Associations (REHVA) World Congress (CLIMA 2019) from May 26 to 29 in Bucharest, Romania. He gave a podium presentation in the conference.
May 12, 2019: Prof. Chun Chen attended the 9th Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences – Indoor Environment and Health Branch Conference and the 4th International Symposium on Bioaerosols (IEHB 2019) from May 10 to 12 in Nanjing, China. He gave a podium presentation and served as the Chair for one podium session.
May 07, 2019: Yue Pan has passed his Ph.D. candidancy and qualifying exams (both written and oral). His proposed thesis title is "Developing a New Nozzle for Reducing Particle Deposition in Aircraft Cabins". He has published one paper in Building and Environment. Congratulations to Yue!
Apr 16, 2019: Prof. Chun Chen served as one of the judges for the final assessment of the “My Green Space” Green Building Competition for Schools 2018/19. The Competition was organized by Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC).
Feb 26, 2019: Prof. Chun Chen gave a talk on "Airborne particle dynamics in the built environment" in the Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. The talk summarized the work our group has done in the past two and a half years.
Feb 19, 2019: The paper "Lai, D.*, Chen, C.* Comparison of the linear regression, multinomial logit, and ordered probability models for predicting the distribution of thermal sensation" has been accepted by Energy and Buildings. This is a collaborative research with Prof. Dayi Lai from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China.
